Projects!!

So I have been busy this week with projects! We are finally at a place with out home that we can start decorating and really making it ours. I have been inspired from the wonderful Joanna Gaines off Fixer Upper. I love her decorating style and I am bringing some of that farmhouse touch to my home (I hope at least). This is my first blog post so go easy on me :)

I love curb finds!! Other peoples trash or un-wantables (laugh here) I try to take and give new life to it. Well I have this white, distressed picket fence that needed a new purpose. So I started thinking about what I could do with it. And a light bulb went off! Why not try and add distressed clothes pins and twine to it and hang pictures from the pins. 

First I started with painting the clothes pins and sanding them down to give them that distressed look.

So then my wonderful husband added nails to the back of the fence so I could tie my string!! I then glued down my 4  clothes pins on the bottom. My husband added brackets to the fence and viola, it is finished!! I love how it turned out and now I have an extra place to display my pictures, 

And there you have it! All finished, I started my second project today so I will keep you posted on what I am going to do with it :) Happy decorating!!
